Agordoe Bridge Project

For years, the children of Agordoe Village had to swim across a river to reach the nearest elementary school in Tsavanya. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Volta Community Development, Inc. (VCD) and the Council of Ewe Associations of North America, Inc. (CEANA), this challenge is now a thing of the past. Together, these NGOs have constructed a 200-foot pedestrian bridge over River Tordzi, enabling the children to safely walk to school and back.

This remarkable bridge project was successfully completed on May 9, 2023.

In addition to the bridge, the school children of Agordoe need essential amenities, including potable water, electricity, roads, and school supplies.
